Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles (microneedling the skin). It is also referred to as dermarolling, skin needling or collagen induction therapy (CIT). 

The procedure involves subjecting the client’s skin to multiple superficial puncture wounds. This causes the skin to release growth factors, which stimulate fibroblasts in the skin. In turn this creates new collagen and elastin, thus repairing the skin’s surface and giving a smoother, fresher look. The recovery time for the treatment is rapid, with no residual pain or discomfort.

Results are achieved through increased quantities of and access for cell nutrients to the skin.
